Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care in the cath lab for patients undergoing interventional procedures, following established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor hemodynamics, administer medications, interpret orders, and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate clinical judgment.
- Plan and coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and other disciplines; supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff as needed.
- Maintain sterile technique, infection control practices, and safety protocols throughout procedures and recovery.
- Participate in discharge planning, patient/family education, and ongoing care coordination to ensure continuity after the procedure.
- Document care delivery, collaborate with the interprofessional team, and provide learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in California.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in the field.
- BLS and ACLS credentials required (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) per policy.
- Acute care facility experience preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced cath lab environment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to work the listed shift and assignment duration.
