Correctional Health RN – Days & Evenings

 

Downey, CA

Start Date: 10/16/26
Contract: 16 weeks
Shifts Available: Days & Evenings
Schedule: 5x8s | 40 hours/week
On-Call: No

Position Details

  • Correctional/behavioral health RN opportunity working with a juvenile population
  • Days: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
  • Evenings: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM
  • Must work every other weekend
  • Passing medications and blood draws required
  • Must be comfortable working independently and making quick clinical decisions
  • Experience in a secured, correctional, or behavioral health setting preferred
  • Local travelers accepted

Requirements

  • Active California RN License
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in Psych/Behavioral Health, Med Surg, Correctional Health, or ER
  • Recent Med Surg, ER, Psych, or Correctional experience preferred
  • Proficient with blood draws, assessments, and triage
  • BLS
  • Fire Card

  • MAB/CPI certification required

     

Pay Package

$2,200/week gross

  • $1,000 taxable
  • $1,200 weekly meals & incidentals
