OverviewRegistered Nurse – CVICU | Pocatello, Idaho | Start 09/28/2026 | Travel assignment (weeks) | $2,656–$2,820 per week | Guaranteed hours: 0.0 | Shift: 4x12 Nights | Level II trauma center with a comprehensive stroke center and an advanced cardiac/open-heart program.Key Highlights- Weekly pay: $2,656–$2,820 per week- Guaranteed hours: 0.0- Schedule: 4x12 Nights; unit also offers 36- or 48-hour option blocks- Start date: 09/28/2026- Setting: CVICU within a Level II trauma center with comprehensive stroke and advanced cardiac/open-heart services- Orientation: 20 hours provided onsiteResponsibilities- Deliver direct nursing care to adult and geriatric CVICU/ICU patients, including post-operative cardiac surgery (CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR) and post-cardiac care- Monitor hemodynamics with arterial lines, venous access, PAP/PA catheters as needed; titrate vasoactive and cardiac-directed medications- Manage ventilator support (including HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP) and support occasional ECMO; oversee CRRT/Tablo dialysis when required- Perform bedside procedures and post-operative care: chest tubes, tracheostomy care, TEE-related care, sheath removals, blood product administration- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV/Phlebotomy, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, RRT, Transportation) and ensure accurate Epic documentation- Maintain patient assignments at 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends; uphold unit standards for safety, infection control, and quality metricsRequirements- Licensure: Active RN license in Idaho (state or compact) in hand at time of submittal- Experience: Minimum 2 years in CVICU/ICU; prior charge experience preferred- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS* and TNCC* may be noted as optional- Charting: Epic experience preferred- Skills: Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring, post-cardiac surgery care, ventilator management, chest tube care, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKGs, ABG interpretation- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ability to work in a high-acuity CVICU/ICU settingBenefits and Support- On-site orientation modules totaling about 20 hours- Pre-approved time off: two per contract- 24/7 recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment- Orientation modules completed onsite to expedite credentialing- Compliance and onboarding items addressed promptly per program requirementsFind more opportunitiesFind more opportunities at Healthforce Healthcare LLC: https://healthforce.applytojob.com/applyPlease note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
