Job Summary
The North Carolina-based healthcare organization is seeking a Nurse Educator in Asheville. This role involves delivering clinical education, supporting staff development, and ensuring competency validation across various shifts. The position emphasizes independent work, real-time staff engagement, and supporting a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shift; 36 hours per week, including days, nights, and weekends.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications, relevant education, and experience include: no minimum years of experience specified, with a focus on acute care, critical care, or procedural settings; strong communication, coaching, and teaching skills; comfort with rounding on units and engaging staff; ability to work independently following established educational content; experience with high-risk education, regulatory readiness, quality and safety initiatives; familiarity with education tracking tools, dashboards, Learning Management System platforms, or competency checklists.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous Mission experience, clinical teaching, competency validation, nurse residency or transition-to-practice training, preceptor development, skills validation, staff onboarding or orientation, familiarity with survey response work.
  • Additional Information: The position involves delivering clinical education content to unit staff and interdisciplinary team members, supporting education for both core staff and temporary staff, conducting unit-based rounding, reinforcement, and just-in-time coaching. The role includes documenting education completion, identifying barriers, and escalating concerns as needed. The successful candidate will partner with Mission educators and leaders, supporting education during night shifts, weekends, and in hard-to-reach settings. Training on education tools and platforms will be provided.
