Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in a Critical Access Hospital setting located in Clearlake, California. Start date: October 26, 2026. This is a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours and a weekly pay range of $2,146 to $2,182. Shift is 3x12-hour nights (6:00 PM–6:30 AM). Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and adjacent units per RN scope of practice
- Perform initial patient assessment, triage, ongoing monitoring, and timely escalation of deteriorating patients
- Administer medications, assist with procedures, manage IV therapy and lines, and monitor patient responses
- Document care and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC) and communicate with the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and support staff to ensure patient safety and smooth patient flow
- Adapt to float duties between ER and ICU settings as needed; ensure HIPAA and confidentiality compliance
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- EPIC electronic health record experience
- Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- At least one year RN experience within the last 24 months with acute critical care experience within the last 12 months, or EMT/ED Tech with a minimum of 2 years experience
- MICN within one year of hire is desirable; NRP, TNCC, and CEN encouraged and recommended
- Basic computer skills and ability to work in a fast-paced ED/ICU environment
- Ability to work the listed night shift and travel as required
