ER Registered Nurse (Emergency Department) – Olympia, Washington, United States. Start date 09/22/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Weekly pay range: $1,920–$2,082. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. This travel role supports an ED that serves patients across all ages, with a high-volume daily census.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-acuity nursing care in the emergency department for patients from neonates to geriatrics, including stroke, cardiac, trauma, and multisystem emergencies
- Perform triage, initial assessment, stabilization, ongoing monitoring, and rapid intervention for acutely ill or injured patients
- Manage complex patient care needs: ventilated patients, arterial/central lines, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation as prescribed
- Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias; interpret arterial blood gases and maintain critical monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (RT, PT, pharmacy, rapid response) to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, with the ability to float to related units within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Licenses: Active RN license required; pending license accepted with preference for quick starts; compact license must be in hand at submission
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
- Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience; first-time travelers accepted if they have ≥1 year of RN experience and Epic charting experience
- Education: Associate or higher degree in nursing (RN)
- Other: Epic charting experience required; able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced ED; on-site orientation of 24 hours; COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Compliance notes: Local travelers not eligible if permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility; pre-approved time off up to 2 days per contract; willing to work holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day); two references covering at least 1 year of experience within last 3 years; background check details may apply (facility does not accept Nursys or BG hits)
