Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Charge ER) in Roswell, New Mexico. This travel assignment starts on 08/03/2026 for a weeks-long duration in a community hospital ED serving mixed adult and pediatric patients. Schedule is nights on a 4x12-hour shift pattern with alternating weeks of 48 hours and 36 hours; additional pay is provided for all hours worked in the Charge role. The position requires every-other weekend coverage, and orientation is provided onsite. This role uses Epic for charting and may require float to other units within scope.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care in the ED for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; manage high-acuity cases and rapid patient turnover
- Function as Charge ER RN on assigned nights; oversee unit operations, patient flow, and staff coordination
- Manage ventilated patients and airway support (BiPAP/CPAP as needed); monitor respiratory status and intervene as required
- Administer IV therapies, blood products, medications, and vasopressors; provide central/arterial line care as indicated
- Interpret dysrhythmias and ABGs; assist with procedural sedation monitoring; perform triage, trauma, and neuro basics
- Document in Epic, coordinate with PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy; participate in rapid response and discharge planning

Requirements
- Active RN license in New Mexico or NM Compact accepted (must be obtained prior to start)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; CPI and TNCC also noted in postings
- ER charge experience required; 3 years preferred; first-time travel accepted
- Experience with ~4-patient ratios; Epic charting experience required
- Ability to float to like units within scope; willing to work nights on an alternating 48/36-hour schedule
- Locational requirement: relocation required; locals within a 50-mile radius are not accepted
- Onboarding expectations: labs within 48 business hours after contract signing
