Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the emergency setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient status, administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders and protocols, and document appropriately.
- Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and escalate as needed to ensure patient safety.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines to implement comprehensive care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes; provide patient and family education as indicated.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and facility policies.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- ER or acute care nursing experience preferred; 1+ year recommended
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN acceptable; BSN preferred)
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour shift schedule and participate in a 13-week travel assignment
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency environment
