Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in the ED, including triage, treatment, and discharge planning for patients from newborns to geriatrics
- Monitor patient status, administer medications as ordered, and document care in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, and ED team members to ensure efficient patient flow and care quality
- Prioritize patient safety, respond to emergencies, and escalate as needed
- Perform standard ED procedures per protocol and support interdisciplinary care for diverse age groups
Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in California
- BLS certification (basic life support)
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Comfortable delivering care to patients across the lifespan in a high-volume ED setting
- Ability to collaborate with CNAs and ED staff in a fast-paced environment
