Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ICU patients, including continuous monitoring of vital signs, neurovascular status, and overall clinical condition
- Manage critical care therapies (ventilator support, vasoactive infusions, invasive monitoring) under physician orders
- Administer medications and therapies, monitor laboratory results, and respond to physiologic changes per protocol
- Collaborate with an interprofessional team and families to develop and implement care plans; participate in patient and family education
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards
- Maintain equipment readiness, support procedures as needed, and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia or eligibility to practice in Georgia
- ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week)
- BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred or as required by policy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
- Education: ADN or BSN required; BSN preferred
