Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines.
- Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry and vital signs, and respond to changes with critical thinking and professional judgment.
- Administer medications and therapies, manage IV lines and devices, and oversee ventilator support as appropriate.
- Document care thoroughly in the electronic medical record; participate in care planning and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient- and family-centered care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- ICU nursing experience
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift pattern (3x12-hour days)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
