Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU (Travel) needed in Berlin, VT, starting 07/20/2026 for a 6-week assignment in a hospital ICU. Work 3x12-hour nights with 12-hour shifts. Pay range is $1,991 to $2,145 per week with no guaranteed hours. The ICU unit comprises 14 beds within a 90-bed facility and may require occasional float to med-surg or ER boarders based on census. A 2-day orientation is planned; NIHSS, ACLS, and BLS are required prior to start, with EPIC experience expected within the past 2 years. This is a temporary travel assignment with no on-call requirements.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, professional care for adult ICU patients, including continuous monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications and respiratory support in collaboration with the respiratory therapy team
- Manage airway interventions as needed, including RSI, intubation/extubation, and assistance with bronchoscopies; support chest tube, central line, arterial line, and PICC line care
- Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, respond to rapid responses and code blue events, and assist with cardioversion as indicated
- Administer medications, blood products, and IV nutrition as ordered; manage sedation/analgesia and PCA administration; participate in difficult airway and post-extubation care
- Document thoroughly in EPIC, uphold infection control and patient safety standards, and support patient transfers and handoffs per unit protocols

Requirements
- Active Vermont RN license on file at submission (RN in good standing to practice in Vermont)
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS required prior to start; CCRN and PALS preferred
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience; EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
- Education: Nursing degree from an approved program; Bachelor’s degree preferred (as applicable)
- Ability to float to med-surg/ER boarders as needed; reliable transportation to the assignment location
- Shift eligibility: available for 12-hour night shifts; complete orientation and comply with unit scheduling
