Responsibilities
- Provide holistic nursing care to ICU patients across adult and geriatric populations, collaborating with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, identify outcomes, develop and revise plans of care, implement interventions, and evaluate patient progress.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, support post-operative cardiac surgery patients, and assist with devices such as Impella or balloon pumps (preferred experience).
- Administer medications, manage ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring, and respond to acute clinical changes while maintaining patient safety and accurate documentation in the Epic EMR.
- Coordinate care among disciplines, delegate appropriate activities, and participate in shared accountability for nursing practice.
- May float to other ICUs and medical/surgical units as staffing needs require.

Requirements
- Active Minnesota Registered Nurse license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS required)
- 1+ year of nursing experience (required)
- Adult and geriatric population experience (required)
- Epic EMR experience (required)
- Preferred: experience with fresh open-heart surgery patients; interpretation of cardiac rhythms; experience with Impella and balloon pumps
- Ability to work in a hospital ICU setting and to float to other units as needed
- Documentation of work history and relevant skills in a current checklist, plus references as requested
