Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU, travel assignment in Utica, NY. Start date: 08/09/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,277 to $2,306 per week with guaranteed hours of 36. Shift: Nights (2x3 schedule). This ICU unit operates within a hospital setting and requires experience across neuro, medical-surgical, and trauma ICU care. EMR: EPIC.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct critical care to adults in the ICU, including Neuro/Med and CTICU patient populations, with responsibilities across stroke, sepsis, AMS, and post-operative cardiac cases.
- Monitor and manage complex technologies and therapies: CRRT (Prismaflex), IABP, ICP monitoring, Ventilator support, arterial/central lines, and vasoactive medication administration.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, interpret data, respond to deteriorations, participate in rapid responses and Code Blue events as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications, fluids, and blood products per protocols; coordinate imaging, procedures, and specialty consults; document in EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (neuro, surgical, trauma, respiratory therapy, pharmacy) and contribute to discharge planning and family education.
- Floats to other ICU-related units as required, while maintaining core standards of care and patient safety.

Requirements
- Current and unrestricted RN license in New York; NURSYS verification required; active licenses in all states as applicable.
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS current and active.
- ICU experience: minimum 2 years; 4–5 years preferred; travel experience required.
- EMR: Proficient with EPIC.
- Education: Registered Nurse with active NY licensure.
- Ability to work in an ICU/critical care setting; drivers license with address matching demographics.
- RTO (time off) must be requested at time of submission.
- Additional unit specifics: experience with CRRT and Prismaflex; interest or experience in heart-focused ICU care preferred; ability to float to all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding).
