Registered Nurse, ICU travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,268–$2,363 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. This is a hospital-based critical care unit requiring float to multiple ICU areas as needed. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adults in the ICU, including monitoring, assessment, and therapeutic interventions
- Manage complex patient needs such as ventilator support, vasoactive medications, neuro-monitoring, and care after major cardiovascular or neurosurgical procedures
- Operate and monitor CRRT therapy (Prismaflex or NxStage) as assigned; ensure device safety and patient response
- Document care accurately in the EPIC EMR, maintain precise charts, and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff; participate in rounds and respond to emergencies with rapid assessment and escalation
- Float to related ICU units as needed to meet patient care demands, while maintaining unit-specific competencies
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Licensure: Active NY registered nurse license; Nursys license verification showing NY license and any other active RN licenses
- Certifications: Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Experience: 2+ years of ICU experience; 4–5 years preferred; documented travel or peri-ICU experience required
- EMR: Proficiency with EPIC or demonstrated EMR experience
- Additional: Local candidates within 75 miles may be eligible for a local rate; travel experience required; RTO (time off) must be included at submission; ability to float to Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma units as needed
