Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in a fast-paced outpatient infusion center. The ideal candidate will have recent outpatient infusion experience, chemotherapy certification, and strong IV infusion and oncology nursing skills.
Responsibilities:
Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, blood products, hydration, and infusion medications.
Monitor patients during infusions and respond promptly to adverse reactions or changes in condition.
Access and maintain peripheral IVs, PICC lines, and implanted ports.
Provide patient education regarding infusion therapies, medications, and treatment plans.
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Accurately document patient care using EPIC.
Operate infusion-related equipment including Alaris pumps and elastomeric pumps.
Maintain compliance with oncology, infusion, and infection control standards.
Qualifications:
Active New York RN License.
Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient infusion nursing experience.
Chemotherapy certification required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Experience with blood product administration.
EPIC experience required.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
