Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Location: Utica, NY 13502
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Note: Accepting both Travel and Locals (75 miles radius rule)
Compensation:
- Local Pay rate: $60 - $66/ hr on W2
- Travel Weekly Gross: $2614 - $2830/ week (Includes taxable and non-taxable amount)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Utica, NY. This position is ideal for an RN with strong Labor & Delivery experience who is comfortable caring for mothers and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum continuum. Candidates must have previous travel nursing experience and be proficient in Epic/Stork documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the postpartum period.
- Assess maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Monitor labor progression, administer medications, and assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Care for newborns immediately following delivery and provide family-centered education and support.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatal teams, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
- Accurately document patient care using Epic/Stork and OBIX systems.
- Float to other appropriate units as needed based on facility requirements.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.

Qualifications:- Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum of 4–5 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current AHA certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Experience with Epic/Stork EMR required
- Strong fetal monitoring, labor management, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment
