Travel Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN – Great Barrington, MA
Location: Great Barrington, MA
Facility: Fairview Hospital – Labor & Delivery (Berkshire Health System)
Start Date: August 17, 2026
⏳ Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week Guaranteed

Join Fairview Hospital's Family Birthplace as a Travel Labor & Delivery RN, providing compassionate, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum process. You'll collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, pediatric providers, and lactation consultants to ensure safe, high-quality maternal and neonatal care.
Roles & Responsibilities
Assess, monitor, and care for patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period.
Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including continuous fetal heart rate monitoring.
Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and pain management therapies as ordered.
Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
Provide immediate newborn care, stabilization, and family education.
Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric and neonatal emergencies.
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Accurately document patient care and communicate changes in patient condition with the interdisciplinary team.
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatric providers, and lactation consultants to develop individualized care plans.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.
Requirements
Active Massachusetts RN License (must be in hand at submission)
Recent Labor & Delivery experience
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced L&D unit
Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
On-call required (TBD)
Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Patterns Hiring Job ID #68527-027. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
