Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Bay City, MI, requiring 2 years of Med/Surg and Telemetry experience with float pool participation.

Details

• Hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit setting
• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units is required as part of a float pool

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration (including IVs), wound care, and managing specialized equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and discharge instructions
• Monitor for early signs of patient deterioration and respond swiftly to prevent emergencies
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this contract
• Copies of all certifications must be included for consideration
