Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or an assigned group, following established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of licensed and unlicensed staff; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Collect data, assess and analyze health information, and contribute to the development of a care plan
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment; evaluate progress toward outcomes
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team; provide education and health information to patients and treatment team
- Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care; delegate tasks appropriately and oversee team duties
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California required)
- Education: BSN preferred
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
- Experience: At least two years of recent Med Surg experience in an acute care setting
- Technology/Process: EPIC charting proficiency preferred
- Able to work in a hospital environment and meet assignment requirements (36 hours per week)
