Registered Nurse, Med Surg — travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting. Location: United States. Start date: November 16, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,139–$2,295 per week. Unit handles adult medical-surgical care including post-surgical patients with common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fracture, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, including post-surgical recovery
- Administer medications, monitor responses, and document in the EMR
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team
- Manage IV therapy, NG/tube feeding support, wound care, and other device-related tasks
- Float to related units as needed and adhere to unit-specific policies and procedures
- Ensure patient and family education, discharge planning, and safety rounding
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York (NYS license verification required)
- Current BLS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years Med/Surg RN experience
- Travel experience required
- EMR experience with EPIC preferred
- Ability to float to other units and work in a hospital setting
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
