Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults using the Nursing Process within the unit’s standards of care.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, manage IV therapy, and document in the chart.
- Perform ongoing assessments, interpret vital signs and labs, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, maintain infection control practices, and uphold documentation accuracy in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, therapists, and other disciplines; participate in rounds and discharge planning.
- Demonstrate nursing leadership by delegating tasks to other staff and supervising care within scope of practice.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, nursing standards, and unit-specific policies, including de-escalation when needed.

Requirements
- Current RN license in Vermont or eligibility to obtain VT licensure
- Active ACLS, BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and de-escalation training required to be active prior to contract start; if not, a booked course is required at Clinical Orientation
- Graduation from an accredited RN program (ADN or BSN preferred)
- Ability to work Nights and rotating schedule; able to function in an inpatient Med Surg Telemetry setting
- Experience in Med Surg Telemetry or inpatient care is preferred
