Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical/Telemetry – Tuscaloosa, AL

Start Date: August 17, 2026

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend and holiday rotation as required. 36 or 48 hours per week available. 13-week assignment.

Highlights:

• Work in a 32-bed General Surgical Unit specializing in exceptional postoperative care
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio with focus on pain management, mobility, and bedside procedures
• Collaborative environment working alongside family practice physicians, hospitalists, and surgeons
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week with overtime available after 48 hours
• Biweekly orientation with 16 hours of non-billable onboarding
• Flexibility to accept position based on profile review; interview available upon request

Requirements:

• Active Alabama or Compact state RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 18 months of RN experience working under highest professional license level; 2 years preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in medical surgical or related specialty
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree required
• Willingness to float to other units and facilities as needed
