Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for a community hospital offering a supportive team environment and manageable patient ratios. This assignment is ideal for nurses who are flexible, team-oriented, and comfortable taking on leadership responsibilities when needed.
Assignment Highlights
- 13-week travel contract
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4–5
- Average daily census: 22 patients
- EMR: Cerner
- May be asked to serve as backup Charge Nurse
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Support professional nursing standards and unit leadership
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Recent Med Surg experience
- Cerner experience preferred
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills
- Must be flexible with scheduling
Important Information
- Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.
- Personal vehicle is required; public transportation is not available.
- Maximum of 5 days of requested time off must be disclosed at submission. Requests after submission will not be approved.
- No block scheduling or special scheduling accommodations.
- This assignment cannot be worked alongside another travel or permanent position.
