Assignment Details:
We’re seeking an experienced Travel RN to join the Renal/Medical-Surgical Telemetry team in Tuscaloosa, AL. This position offers flexible scheduling of 36 or 48 hours per week, with holiday coverage as required and every other weekend rotation. Candidates must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.

About the Unit:
The Renal Unit is a 36-bed department specializing in the care of patients with kidney-related conditions, including acute and chronic kidney disease requiring renal replacement therapy. Nurses in this unit typically manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and provide expert care in post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis. The team works closely with nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to ensure exceptional, patient-centered care throughout every stage of treatment and recovery.

Requirements:

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)

• Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or Compact License (No temporary licenses accepted)

• Certifications: AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience, or at least 18 months of experience with 1 year in the specialty area (MS/Tele or Renal preferred)

• Verification: NURSYS verification required
