Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care to NICU patients following established standards and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, interpret changes, administer appropriate interventions, and document results.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines.
- Communicate with families and care team to ensure clear, compassionate information sharing and plan-of-care updates as needed.
- Maintain patient safety, regulatory compliance, and high standards of infection control and quality improvement.
Requirements
- NICU experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a high-acuity NICU setting
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment in Bakersfield
- Eligibility to work in the United States
