Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to OB/GYN patients across admission, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods as assigned.
- Monitor fetal status and maternal vitals; assist with routine examinations and procedures; administer medications and perform clinical assessments per protocol.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document care in the electronic medical record; maintain accurate patient charts and ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Educate patients and families on prenatal, perinatal, postpartum, and newborn care, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs as appropriate.
- Support patient safety initiatives and infection prevention practices consistent with best practices and facility policies.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a high-acuity OB/GYN care setting within a travel assignment
- Flexibility to work nights with day shift on occasion
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
