Registered Nurse — Radiation Oncology, in Saratoga Springs, NY. Start date 10/05/2026. Duration: Weeks. Shift is 3x12 Nights (block schedule) with Monday–Friday workdays and no weekends, holidays, or on-call. Travel assignment in a hospital-based radiation oncology unit serving adult and geriatric cancer patients. Weekly pay range: $2,093–$2,222 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Pre-approved time off: one. Orientation: 40 hours. Epic charting experience required; IV and port-access experience essential.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adults and geriatrics undergoing radiation therapy and related cancer treatments in a radiation oncology unit
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, injections, hydration, and manage IV access and port care
- Assist with radiation therapy-related care and procedures, including spacer/OAR procedures, injections, and hydration per protocol
- Use Epic for timely, accurate charting; document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response) to coordinate care
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and safety initiatives
Requirements
- Active NY Registered Nurse license (must be active at submission)
- BLS certification
- Epic charting experience required
- IV access and port management skills
- Radiation oncology nursing experience required
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Travel experience preferred (2 years in the referenced specialty)
- Eligible to work in NY; local radius restriction applies: permanent address within 50 miles of Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, or Ulster counties may not be accepted
- NY state license submission required at time of submission; recent Nursys verification; current certifications; references
Additional compliance and start expectations
- Flu vaccine required or medical/religious exemption submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start
- HealthStream mandatory training: completion required by 7 a.m. the Wednesday prior to start (approx. 12–15 hours)
