Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Kansas City, KS, United States. Start date 08/09/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,099–$2,195. Shift is 3x12-hour days. This is a hospital-based OR position requiring active licensure and current certification.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the OR environment for surgical cases, ensuring sterile technique and correct instrumentation.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, maintaining counts, draping, positioning, and maintaining situational awareness throughout cases.
- Support various case types, including those involving DaVinci robotic platforms, large head-and-neck procedures, neuro spine, and exploratory laparotomy (ex-lap) cases.
- Coordinate with anesthesia and circulating staff to optimize patient safety, comfort, and timely turnover between cases.
- Document intraoperative events and ensure proper specimen labeling and handoffs to perioperative teams.
- Maintain readiness of equipment and supplies, manage room turnover, and comply with established policies and safety standards.

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- 2+ years OR experience with Level 1 trauma exposure
- Strong scrub experience; familiarity with DaVinci robot cases, large head-and-neck cases, neuro spine, and ex-lap procedures
- Ability to float to all ORs within the service line
- On-call requirements: up to 6 shifts during the 13-week contract
- Orientation: onboarding includes Mon-Tues new employee orientation and Wed-Fri nursing orientation
