Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures across multiple specialties
- Maintain a sterile field and apply aseptic technique throughout all phases of surgery
- Assist the surgical team with positioning, draping, instrument handling, and equipment operation (including complex surgical devices)
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures; support anesthesia and PACU transitions as needed
- Document intraoperative care, counts, and relevant intraoperative events; communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical staff
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license; BLS certification required
- OR experience required; ortho trauma experience strongly preferred; neuro experience a bonus
- Travel experience and current OR assignment experience preferred
- Pass/Fail ECG/Telemetry and Medication tests prior to acceptance; one attempt only; 85% passing required
- Flu vaccination required prior to start (medical exemption acceptable)
- RTO: No more than 3 days in a row; requests must be presented at time of submission
