Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for an identified patient group within an outpatient procedure unit, applying the nursing process and standards of care.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; document findings and care plans promptly in the electronic health record (EPIC).
- Monitor patient status through perioperative, PACU, or endoscopy pathways; administer medications and interventions per protocol; ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including patients and families, to support safe discharge planning and continuity of care.
- Supervise and delegate duties to appropriate nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines to promote a healing, humane environment.
Requirements
- Licensed RN in the state of practice (California)
- Current CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- BSN education preferred
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Experience in an outpatient/procedural unit (perioperative, PACU, or endoscopy) is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
