Shift: Nights | 3x12s | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
36 Hours/Week
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of current acute care RN experience
At least 1 year of PCU experience
Active experience within the last 12 months required
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
Epic experience required
Oncology experience preferred but not required
Unit Highlights
Medical Oncology Progressive Care Unit
Care for patients with solid tumors, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology diagnoses
High-acuity PCU environment with telemetry
Nurse-to-patient ratio:
PCU: 1:3
Med/Surg Tele: 1:4–5
Floating required to equivalent PCU or Med/Surg Oncology units
Skills Needed
Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Blood product administration
Central line, PICC, and IV management
Heparin protocols
Cardiac drips
Tracheostomy care
BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula
Chest tube management
Rapid Response experience
