Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to PCU patients, including ongoing assessment, vital signs monitoring, and timely intervention
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments as ordered; monitor for adverse reactions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and adjust patient care plans; provide patient and family education
- Document clinical information accurately and maintain thorough handoffs; participate in discharge planning and coordination with case management
- Recognize and respond to patient condition changes; escalate to appropriate team members as needed
- May assume duties as charge nurse when assigned and participate in shift leadership effectively

Requirements
- Current NY RN license
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Certifications: BLS required; ACLS required; NIH required; PALS preferred
- Experience: current critical care experience preferred
- Travel-specific: traveler must have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment
- Ability to work in a high-stress hospital setting; strong clinical judgment, leadership, and communication skills
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and on-call as required by the unit
