Registered Nurse – PICU / Pediatric Float Pool

Location

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations across assigned units
Adhere to facility float pool policies and practice within established scope of practice
Participate in orientation modules including specialty-specific training as required
Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
NICU experience required; prior NICU/PICU float pool experience a plus
Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date)
BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
BSN preferred
Previous experience in a pediatric float pool setting
