Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit
Location: Atlanta, GA 
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week
Shift: Day or Night Shift Available

Compensation:

  • Pay Rate: $1,800 – $2,000/week (based on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac nursing experience and the ability to care for intermediate and step-down patients with complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Float across PCU and IMCU units as needed
  • Provide direct nursing care to intermediate and progressive care cardiac patients
  • Manage patients with conditions including:
    • STEMI
    • NSTEMI
    • Chest pain
    • Post-cardiac surgery recovery
  • Administer and monitor cardiac drips such as:
    • Milrinone
    • Dobutamine
    • Vasopressors
  • Monitor telemetry patients and respond to changes in condition
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
  • Follow patient safety, infection control, and cardiac care protocols

Patient Ratio:

  • Typically 1:3–4, depending on patient acuity

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care, Step-Down, or similar acute care RN experience required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
  • AHA BLS Certification required
  • AHA ACLS Certification required
  • Strong cardiac nursing and telemetry experience required
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity environment
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
