Job Summary:
The Nursing Supervisor position is located in Minocqua, Wisconsin. This role involves supporting hospital operations during overnight hours, including supervising various departments such as Surgery, Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health. The supervisor will assist with staffing, crisis response, patient transfers, and overall unit management to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 08/24/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification, at least 2 years of nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in general nursing, people skills, multi-tasking, critical thinking, IV skills, and emergency response.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The supervisor supports hospital operations between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM, covering critical units such as Surgery, Emergency, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health. Responsibilities include assisting with patient admissions and transfers, supporting in crisis situations like Rapid Response, Code Blue, and Trauma, and managing staffing levels. The role also involves helping with medication administration in emergencies, supporting recovery in PACU as a second RN, and providing assistance with patient care and safety. The position requires collaboration with hospitalists and emergency department staff, as well as managing staffing and patient placement during off hours. Holiday and occasional weekend coverage may be required, with a focus on overnight supervision. This role does not involve managing bedding or staffing beyond overseeing staffing on the overnight shifts.
