Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for telemetry patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff on the unit; coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and other disciplines.
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments, update care plans, administer medications, monitor telemetry readings, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure safe transitions of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the charting system; adhere to unit policies, including float pool guidelines (float pool nurses must clock in to the unit being worked).
Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse license
- Telemetry or unit-specific nursing experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Availability to start 10/12/2026 and commit to a 13-week assignment; able to work night shift and 12-hour shifts
- Willingness to operate in a Float Pool environment and clock in to the unit being worked
