Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a night shift assignment requiring Ohio RCP licensure and ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.

• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00

Requirements

• Registered (RRT) or Certified (CRT) Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board licensure required if applicable
• BLS certification through AHA required
• ACLS certification through AHA required
• NRP certification required
• PALS certification through AHA required
• Minimum 18 months permanent experience in the specialty preferred
• Two supervisory references (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) required for consideration
• Negative 10-panel drug screen including nicotine (cotinine) required within 12 months of start and updated annually

Additional Information

• Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatment and develop plans of care based on diagnosis
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
• Evaluate respiratory practice, medication administration, and treatment based on patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about illness and available community support programs
• Requires strong critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate
• Facility is 100% tobacco free with no smoking or tobacco use permitted on site
• Nicotine-free requirement applies to all travelers except nurses and CSTs
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this facility for 1 year from their previous end date
