Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position available in a critical care environment on a day shift basis. The assignment involves working with high-acuity neuro and cardiac patients, including those requiring advanced respiratory support such as ECMO and LVAD. This opportunity is suitable for qualified professionals with at least one year of relevant experience and a valid compact license, offering a dynamic and fast-paced clinical setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting 10/19/2026 and ending 01/18/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid compact license, at least 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, BLS and CRT certifications, experience with adult critical care, emergency department procedures, nasal and oral suctioning, tracheostomy care/management, ET tubes, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), T-piece, trach collar, BiPAP, CPAP, high frequency jet ventilator, high frequency oscillator, IMV, patient transport, and Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (SIMV).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in trauma Level I or II settings, community hospital experience, and travel experience.
• Additional Information: The unit manages neuro and cardiac high-acuity patients with frequent procedures including bronchoscopies and Perc Trachs, requiring flexibility due to changing acuity and assignments throughout shifts. RTs perform all ABG analyses and breathing treatments in a rapid, critical environment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, with flexibility to work across related units.
• References Required: Two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years prior to start.
• Candidate Responsibilites: Candidates should be prepared to work holidays and follow specified scheduling requests submitted during the application process. Refusal to float or inflexibility beyond contracted schedule may impact employment.
