Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist with specialization in Pediatric Respiratory Therapy (RT PEDS) is sought for a facility located in Canton, Ohio. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including ventilatory support, airway management, and diagnostic assessments. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care with minimal supervision, ensuring safety and effectiveness of treatments within the scope of professional licensure.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). Education as a licensed Respiratory Therapist. Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, including pediatric care. Location in Canton, Ohio, with active state licensure in Ohio.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric respiratory procedures and pediatric patient management.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include providing intensive respiratory care, operating ventilatory and oxygen equipment, performing airway management procedures such as intubations and tracheostomy care, conducting pulmonary function tests, and assisting with advanced procedures like bronchoscopy. The therapist will also monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness, perform routine assessments, and communicate with physicians regarding patient progress. The candidate must adhere to all hospital policies regarding laboratory testing, respiratory therapy documentation, and infection control protocols.
