Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position in Meridian, Idaho. This role involves providing respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients within various hospital departments, including ICU, MICU, MC-tele, ER, and PACU. The position requires flexibility to float across multiple specialties and facilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality respiratory treatments and supporting patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evenings shift from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and PALS (AHA). Must have at least 2 years of experience. Candidates must be licensed to submit and must be comfortable floating across all specialties including ICU, MICU, MC-tele, ER, and more.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NICU Level II, ability to initiate Cpap during deliveries, and comfort with pediatric emergent care in the ER setting.
- Responsibilities: Managing all respiratory treatments, performing ABGs (radial or brachial), and supporting ventilator equipment. Assisting with intubations only as needed.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital and to sister facilities located approximately 10-14 miles away, with notification at least 60 minutes prior to shift.
- Orientation: 1-2 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation, typically including NICU/General and ICU days.
- Other Details: Self-scheduling with flexibility, including possible shift trades and rotation. Weekend rotations are every other weekend, including Friday and Saturday nights or Saturday and Sunday days. Holiday shifts may be required. Travel is optional, with a 30-minute call response time. Scrub dress code is professional and any color.
