Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position available in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves working in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), primarily with adult patients, utilizing EPIC electronic medical records. The position demands flexibility with a rotating shift schedule and requires candidates to have recent NICU experience, active certifications, and current licensure.
Job Details
- Shift: Rotating; 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum; work schedule as assigned
- Required Qualifications: 24 years of current Respiratory Therapy (RRT) experience in a hospital setting, recent NICU experience within the last 18 months, active and current Iowa respiratory license (highly preferred), EPIC electronic medical records experience, active BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC certifications, valid drivers license, and professional references within 24 months.
- Preferred Qualifications: Iowa respiratory license, NICU experience within the last 15 months, experience with Jet Ventilator, Drager Ventilator, and Oscillator Ventilator equipment, and ability to float across various units.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have completed a travel assignment within the past 15 months; no first-time travelers accepted. Must be willing to work 1-2 of the upcoming Summer holidays unless the unit is closed. Orientation dates are scheduled for 08/31, 09/08, and 09/14.
