Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in Bethel, Alaska. The role involves providing comprehensive cardiopulmonary services to patients of all ages, with an emphasis on ensuring respectful and dignified care. The clinician will assist in problem-solving related to patient care and perform a variety of respiratory therapies following facility protocols.

Job Details:

• Location: Bethel, Alaska
• Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy program or equivalent with an AS Degree
  • One year of clinical respiratory treatment experience in a hospital setting; experience working with Pediatric patients highly preferred
  • Current credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) such as CRTT, CRT, RT, or RRT
  • Successful completion of BLS, with encouragement to obtain ACLS and PALS certifications
• Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret physicians' orders, policies, and technical manuals
  • Effective communication skills to interact with physicians, patients, and healthcare team members
  • Documentation of therapies and procedures administered to patients
  • Mathematical skills for clinical calculations and data interpretation
  • Ability to analyze technical instructions and handle multiple variables in clinical scenarios
  • Proficiency with adult, pediatric, and infant ventilators; suction equipment; pulse oximeters; oxygen delivery devices; pulmonary function testing equipment; EKG machines; Holter and event monitors; and arterial blood gas analyzers
• Additional Information:
  • Orientation starts on a Tuesday; first week hours may not be guaranteed if the schedule is based on 40 hours per week
  • All travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID-19 vaccinations
