Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) is needed for a local assignment in Chicago, Illinois. This position involves working 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a schedule of three shifts per week. The role requires candidates to have recent pediatric critical care experience and be comfortable working across multiple acute care areas within the facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP for NICU assignments), and Illinois Respiratory Therapy License (manager is willing to review applications for IL license at the time of offer). A minimum of 2+ years of Pediatric Critical Care Respiratory Therapy (RRT) experience required, with recent acute care experience within the current year. Candidates must be able to work in at least two of the following areas: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Cardiac Care Unit (CCU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), or acute care floors.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong pediatric critical care background and flexibility to work across multiple units.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Orientation sessions are held every Monday. No interview via Video Scheduling (VSI); candidates will go straight to manager interview. Dress code is scrubs in any color, with a kid-friendly dress code ratio based on a points system. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC. Documentation of both flu and COVID-19 vaccinations, including lot numbers, must be submitted at the time of application.
