Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist - RRT with 1+ years of experience and required NICU experience for a night shift position at a Trauma Level II hospital.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Therapy/Neuro Diagnostics unit at a Trauma Level II facility
• Care for adult critical care, emergency department, NICU, and pediatric patient populations
• Perform transports, direct intubation, extubation, nasal airway placement and suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Manage patients with ARDS, aspiration, bronchoscopy, COVID, cystic fibrosis, and pneumonia
• Administer medications including nebulizers, aerosol masks, and oxygen therapy
• Perform ventilator management and pulmonary function testing
• Epic EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required every other or every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RRT certification
• State licensure required if applicable
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of clinical Respiratory Therapy experience required
• NICU experience is a hard requirement
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Neonatal/pediatric equipment and procedures experience preferred but not required
• Must be clean-shaven to achieve proper mask seal for OSHA Fit Testing (no medical or religious exemptions accepted)

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted for this position
• Ceil blue scrubs required
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration

• Clinicians cannot work more than 1 year as a traveler without taking a required 6-month break before returning
