Floating policy: Will rotate throughout all inpatient units

The CRMC RT family consists of 30 well-rounded colleagues with varying levels of experience. Respiratory therapist here at CRMC rotate through all floors and our two 10 bed ICUs. Working at the top of their licenses, all of the RTs on staff are competent to perform a multitude of tasks such as intubation, arterial line insertion and bedside bronchoscopy assist. Within the interdisciplinary team, the RT team participates in daily nursing unit department rounding and works closely with multiple disciplines to enhance the care provided to our patients. The RT department utilizes new Puritan Bennet 980 ventilators, Vapotherm, Phillips V60 +, Seimens EPOC bedside ABG analyzers and much more to deliver quality to care.
