Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) specializing in neonatal intensive care is needed for a contract assignment in a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit located in Savannah, Georgia. This position involves managing critically ill neonatal patients, including high-frequency ventilation, surfactant therapy, and inhaled nitric oxide management, within a fast-paced environment. The role requires a committed professional capable of providing expert respiratory care in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Job Details:

• Location: Savannah, GA
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

• Required Qualifications:
  • Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Education: Specialized in neonatal or pediatric critical care with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing patients on high-frequency ventilation, surfactant administration, inhaled nitric oxide, and invasive and non-invasive ventilation devices.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience performing procedures such as admitting vented patients independently and managing advanced ventilation therapies.
• Additional Information:
  • Ability to work independently in a Level 4 neonatal/NICU setting.
  • Familiarity with equipment including Drager VN500, F&P Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, high-flow therapy, and heliox therapy.
  • Must be able to attend high-risk deliveries as needed.
  • Dress code: Hunter Green uniform.
