Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with NICU/PICU experience for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring an active MA RT license.

Details

• Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a smaller, slower-paced hospital that requires rapid triage response when patients need transfer to a main hospital in Boston
• NICU/PICU patient population
• 12-hour rotating shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• 36 hours per week
• No floating required
• No charge nurse responsibilities required

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable
• RRT certification required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• NICU/PICU experience required
• Must be able to draw arterial blood gases
• EMR experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Perform assessment, diagnostic testing, prescribed treatment, and care of respiratory therapy patients
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment and maintain department records
• Biweekly orientation schedule
• Must complete pass/fail Tele/ECG and Medication testing
• Required vaccines include COVID (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will not be accepted
• Previous Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a six-month break from any BILH facility before returning
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application
• First-time travelers will be considered
