Job Summary: Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) located in Saint Louis, MO. This full-time night shift position involves providing direct patient care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting. The role requires a focus on respiratory interventions, ventilator management, and collaboration with the healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights, 3x12 shifts per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited college program in respiratory care; current license in the State of Missouri; registered as a therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT); BLS and ACLS certifications (may obtain upon hire); at least 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior adult intensive care and emergency department care; Bachelors Degree; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACCS) certification from the NBRC.
Additional Information: Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy according to physicians' orders. Determines the effectiveness of therapy, provides ventilator support during cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and maintains life support equipment. Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, flexibility, and adaptability, with the judgment necessary to implement medical plans and procedures.
