Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $1,502 to $1,702 per week in Middleburg Heights, OH

We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state respiratory therapist license in good standing with the State License Board.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum one year experience as an RRT in an acute care hospital setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting mechanical ventilators, both invasive and non-invasive ventilation systems.
• Competence with oxygen therapy, aerosol/nebulizer devices, suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal), and tracheostomy care.
• Ability to perform arterial puncture and interpret blood gas results.
• Experience performing 12-lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
• Experience assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy assistance, and chest tube management.
• Ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• For hospitals with moderate complexity labs: familiarity with specimen handling, quality control, and basic lab phases (pre-analytic, analytic, post-analytic) preferred.
• Preferred: prior experience with patient transport and working night shift schedules.
